Techset provides copyediting, composition, project management, Web deliverables and ebook services, using InDesign, APP (3B2) and LaTeX production platforms. Almost all the work we produce is based on xml-first workflows. We also work with our customers to provide software and system solutions to specific problems and have developed industry-wide software for content validation and xml to HTML conversion.
We know that we are as price competitive as anyone in the industry, but with pricing relatively similar between suppliers, we believe that our quality and service set us apart. We have a broad and prestigious customer base and we are at the forefront of project management and copyediting.
Several of our customers are university presses and scientific institutions for which publishing is not their core activity, but who nevertheless have significant publishing programmes. Our project management and copyediting expertise, allied to high levels of service and excellent communication, mean that Techset is a very worthwhile publishing partner, enabling them to run a successful publishing programme with limited in-house resources.
We have been successfully supplying ‘Total Concept’ book and journal project management for over 20 years and our expertise in this area is second to none. We believe that quality, service and communication are paramount, and we have had many authors request their publisher that they deal with Techset on future projects.
